I have seen Doug many times around at the local grocery stocking Little Debbie snacks. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, and send my love and condolences to his family and friends. Steve Cook

Doug was always one of the finest "gentlemen" ever, from a youngster through adulthood.  I was deeply saddened to learn of his passing.

Doug was one of the nicest guys I knew.  Whenever I'd see him about town he always smiled and spoke and would ask about my family.  I attended his funeral and was deeply saddened by his passing, but I know his life had touched many people by the number of friends who were there to pay their last respects.

I missed Doug at our class reunion.  I wish I had known that he was hurting.  Hurting enough to take his own life.  Doug, you have friends more that you could even imagine.  We all have had fears too large to ignore; we all have had pain too much to bear; and we all have sometimes felt like there is no way out, but there is an answer larger than our fears and bigger than our pain.  God is in the midst of our fears and our pain and He sees every tear.  May God bless your family and give them peace during their loss.    Please know that his classmates loved him.
